In rare situations, I run into a rough rumble and vibration from the engine when rolling at about 22mph and 1200rpm. The car is in auto mode so I'm not sure what gear it's in. It never happens in manual mode or sport, and it always happens on a light throttle. Putting in more gas and backing off make it stop. Any ideas? I can't reproduce it on command, but it happens two or three times a week.

It also feels like I'm getting a rough idle. Nothing too bad, but how buttery smooth is your 550i? I seem to remember mine being smoother.

I also am getting more hard shifts than I used to, now at 80k miles. Any thoughts?

I've got about a month of CPO left. I'm thinking of taking it to a local BMW independent and having them go over it with a magnifying glass.

There is a bushing popping out on a rear suspension piece. Is that covered by CPO or extended maintenance?

Have you changed plugs? If not do so.
Check coil packs.
