Well it all started when i noticed that from 4000rpm to 6000rpm my engine shakes vilently and the rpm's jump but when it goes above 6000 rpm's its fine. Keep in mind i have a 2005 manual 530i with 56,000 miles. So i take it into the dealer and take the mechanic for a joy run. He feels the engine shaking and the engine dying and coming on repeatedly. He then says it might be the clutch but he will make some other tests. SO i get my car back 3 days later. it said that my injectors were staying on too long and the machine adapted my car so it would not happen again and then put it to sleep. They said they test drove it and everything is fine. I had to pay $150 for the test and for them "fixing" it. So WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? of course i am going to take it back but will they not charge me if it is somehthing more expensive since they misdiagnosed me? If it is indeed another problem like a clutch, will it be free since they misdiagnosed it or will $150 come out of the clutch bill. Please let me know. thanks in advance

u may have water/antifreeze in ur transmission fluid. Check the radiator and see if antifreeze leaked into the tranny

I recon initially he was making an educated guess, the problem probably became apparent after he ran the diagnostics on your car. If the car seems fine now then they have probably resolved the issue, if it is still the same then i would look for a discount on getting the real problem fixed.

That's actually very possible..I always have the windshield washer fluid level low signal just days after refilling it.I just don't understand how it could get in there.if that is indeed the problem what is the next step? A transmission fluid flush? Could it have ruined the transmission or engine? What should I do or tell the bmw dealership? Thanks
