In another few decades, we won't understand each other.

What's interesting is that Australia can't make up it's mind. Drive on the left, the car has a boot and a bonnet (not trunk/hood), but the cars are known as sedan/wagon. Half UK, Half US.

But then it's like that for a lot of things. 230V power (Europe), but use US wallbox. PAL TV, but use US RJ11 phone jack. Maybe Australians will be the "babelfish" of the future

Just had for a week a couple of friends from Melbourne as my guests. They say to expect to become the next memeber of USA in no more than 20 years! Their polar star is not any more Europe but only USA.
