I had this before. It lasted 2 days. Contacted Dennis at Kg Arang who said he'd "order a new ass'y" for me. Later on, when I spoke with him again, he said, "its normal". So, I've been living with this since then. Will want to have it checked when my ride reaches 2.5 years old and if there's any sign of water damage within the headlight ass'y, then I'll insist on a change.

BTW, its 99% sealed. I'm going for the GTI as a replacement for my E46. Jr likes it and so do I. Most importantly, its a statement to PML and BMW that I will not take anymore nonsense from them. The 335i coupe was supposed to be the replacement, but what the hell. The idling issues on the 545 and M6 really made me sick and to top it up, two days ago, whilst I was on the way to the Car and Cars showroom, the airbag and seatbelt warnings on the 545 came on simultaeneously. Co-incidentally, the salesperson, Jasmine called me on the phone within 30 seconds of that happening. I took it as a "SIGN". Spoke with her, told her about the problem and signed off with a very long byeeeeee. Don't know if she knew what that meant.
GTI has always been fun. PML "so long, farewell!"

I had the same problem on my old E39 with solar film - can't remember the brand.
My current E60 don't have this problem and I'm using V-Kool, GPS and no need to cut a hole at the ERP unit.
Thanks BZASB, lmk and Zig for your responses. Looks like V-Kool is the one to go to then but I will go back to Kevin one more time to get this resolved - the glare at night is so bad that my wife does not want to drive the car at night. :'(

If Kevin cannot resolve the problem, I will switch over to V-Kool instead.

Heard from Nick that you wanna pay in cash 100%. Cool! What color? Your son likes the white one... but you only go for black cars...?

Let us have the price and specs comparison between the PI and C&C's ok? This would allow the rest of the folks determine if PI and more specifically Vincar, is worth the switch....
RSLK, who do you normally deal with at Vincar? I was there today and spoke to David (Tan), nice chap.
Looking at the CaymanS, they only have a black, quite highly spec-ed, Bose sound system, PASM, Xenons, rain sensors and phone, but it's tiptronic and no chrono pack, was quoted $290K, pretty good price....

Ed are you going to get your GTI via PI? saw quite a few at Vincar.

Aiyah! I thought he put up a photo of his upgraded Wing Flaps. I even asked him to PM me the details.

A friend of mine asked if he could test drive my car with and without Wing Flaps this Saturday afternoon. I don't think that is possible, I was told that the firmware of the car's ECU was upgraded to work with the Flaps. My car is still under warranty and I won't want to risk it.

RSLK & TCC39, how do you check your Wing Flaps part number?

RSLK, I saw a black E60 523i with the car plate no. SBY33A. Is he your brother or cousin?

BTW, I replaced my OEM air-filter with one from Hurricane. My engine growls at a lower tone now and seems to be much more responsive across all RPMs! I'm getting 8 to 9km/ltr now on my trip computer. Something could be wrong. I'm reseting it and measure again over the next few days....

I have similar problem with my fog lights! Too lazy to send in to PML immediately but took a picture of it instead.... Will get them to look into it when I bring my ride in for servicing.
Hi Leslie,

The rain god was good on us today. From 1 p.m onward, swee swee and liang liang.

I reported the same problem as you in one of the earlier post. PML say warranty don't cover water in fog lights. Mine was exactly like yours. But after a week of hot days or so, it just dissappeared.

Yankee,

I promised to lend the Garmin map to LMK yesterday. So how now?

Maybe I'll pass it to him first and he can try it out for a few days before passing it to you?? Anyway, I won't be around the whole of next week, so you can liase with LMK. Will that be o.k, my friend?

You mean you don't know about the Chow Ang Mo?? You almost have an Ang Mo customer but luckily or unluckily, Leslie save you. Kindly check the post below

Jellyfish1,

I am using Rikecool and my Garmin GPS works properly without any problem. There is no cutting on the ERP holder and I find that it really reduce the heat.

You can consider V-Kool and check out their price but if you want an alternative like Rikecool, please let me know and you will get very good price.
