Guys,

I am keen on doing the ICE mod using the new Intel-based Macmini with Mobycars in Singapore. They have never done an E60 but had experience on E46 and E90.

What are the pitfalls I should be aware of? I was quoted a baseline price of $5K+ which should include the hardware, GPS maps, bluetooth....

Thanks!
One of the directors of Mobycars (Franklin, are you reading this?) may be joining us on the 11 June drive to KL trip. He will have a system installed in his E90 and maybe we can ask him more questions if we see him?

ohhh... Ok to be fair, I was referring to just bare minimum. 1 carputer, 1 GPS receiver, 1 GPS software, 1 small LCD screen or video I/F, and maybe installation.

You are high end user lah. Why do you need 5 & 6 together? I thought a good TV tuner will cost much more than that? I have the lines ready in the boot but did not install it.

I am not saying it's unreasonable or otherwise. That everyone has a different view. The good thing is someone will sweat the details, fix the issues when they crop up.

Hi, I was reading some of the older threads and saw the senior members mentioning about Radar detectors in Singapore. Does it really really work? Can someone enlighten and where can I get one pls?

Do you mean those radars that detect wing flaps?
i heard that the strongest radar is in changi airport that can track aircrafts 500 miles away even the plane does not have wing flaps. the distant can be longer if the airplane has wing flaps.
