lmk i heard nuvi360 not in sg yet..and even if order from USA wonder the malsing maps identical or not from garmin sing-mal..most likely not right.
1. malsingmaps are very detail. only problem, no blocks numbers for search. this are some hard work consolidated by volunteers / GPS enthusisats. it is different from the garmin malsing maps. But i find it very useful.
2. garmin maps, less details, but comes with block numbers search using their sing mal maps.
3. if you buy in USA, it comes complete with the USA city select maps, all states. you just have to add on their malsing maps for a couple of hundreds dollars on a memory card. then, you have 2 maps and the price is still lower than buying in singapore. It is very useful when you go to USA (even once a year) and you prefer to drive there, like i do.
4.depending on where you are, the nuvi took about 10 seconds to lock onto 3 satelites, impressive.

is it true that the Nuvi 360, you can only search road names by "state" which doesn't apply here? If we buy from the US, besides maps, any other problems. When you say out anytime now, meaning a local version of the nuvi 360?
thanks

Part of the problem is the resolution is not so good. I can tune mine to show the stuff properly but then the text on the text entry is small. If I blow that up, then all my menu are not scaled properly such that they go out of the screen and I can't access part of them. Well, that's on Windows & nRoute rather than Mac.
Stranger,
is the resolution not as good as this?

2. lack of local support like warranty is a major issue.

Therefore the design of GUI includes state selection which is necessary when you go to places like USA.
For Singapore map, you just need to input state as Singapore. No pain.
Anytime means, it is due to be out in May in the USA.
As far as i know, no local set of Nuvi is selling here.

My Ride: Nothing to boast about!
Bugaboo,
The fonts on the maps can be adjusted to suit each individual. DVD picture is quite good.
The problem is when I try to input street names, the fonts on the menu etc cannot be changed in nRoute. I have to use windows to change. But then nRoute is not written properly that the menu doesn't size properly when the fonts are increased via OS. I end up with part of the menu outside the screen. The worst is when "cancel", "next" buttons are not visible. All these are because partly the screen size has to be set at 800x600 or 640x400.
