tubee,no of course i did not do those illegal mods just dreaming only....but some people have done it.none for our 523i magnesium engine yet.

Have anyone of you tried to get into the service mode of the iDrive computer before? Read somewhere on the net that the service mode can be invoked with the following steps:
1. Press iDrive for 6 secs and release at main menu.
2. Rotate 3 clicks right
3. Rotate 3 clicks left
4. Rotate 1 click right
5. Rotate 1 click left
6. Rotate 1 click right
7. Press iDrive
We should be able to find out a lot more about our cars. Also read that it only works for certain models and iDrive firmware versions. Works for my car!!

Did you managed to get the Mac mini to work with your iDrive controller or you swap your monitor to a touch screen? What's the $$ damage for the Mac + GPS setup? I'll start with ICE mods first...

hey Great white... how is the project going? can you bring your great white e60 to all e60 meet up once you are done? saw that you had the 525i style rim from the stock car so is it a 525i you are pumping the steroid in? Bilstein PSS9.. it's going to be awesome for you too!
do you still have the steel brake line?
