After taking it to reputable indy, turns out my motor mounts were completely shot and therefore you could feel the motor cycling and vibrating. Once they put in the new mounts, car runs much better. They said e60 has a rougher idle than other cars, but it was exaggerated by the loss of dampening from the worn mounts.
