I live in Atlanta, but have family in Newark. I've had my e60 in OH 2 times this year (last week to Columbus in fact), and 1 time last year...

Can I hang?
We welcome all who take an interest in the special experiences of driving an e60 in Ohio. You need not actually reside in the Buckeye State to "hang." Those who would insult us or our great state, however, are invited to move along.

Tomwid: Have a very merry christmas. I do hope 2006 turns out better for you than 2005. By the tone of your "azzhole" post, I gather that your life must really suck at the moment. Hang on Sloopy, it's always darkets before the light.

Happy Holidays fellow Buckeyes!

I'm in Columbus and wondered if anyone in the area can recommend an excellent body shop. I've got a scratch that I want to have taken care of and also a couple door dings.

Anyone have a recommendation??????

and it does great - floor it, took corners to fast and tried to break it loose and no dice - up hill driveway covered with ice and went up without a hitch

there is NO WAY a rear wheel drive could have done this

But for stopping the old rules still apply
My Ohio weather experience in my 545i is exactly the oposite of yours dgjk. On snow and ice covered roads, my rear end was all over the place. I don't even want to think about fast corners or uphill driveways. To be expected with the set up and tires that I have. Good thing I've got a 4wheel drive Jeep for the winter!

I had Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on my 545i 6sp for the winter setup, and it handled ok in the ice/snow. Not great, but ok. I've got Blizzaks on my M5 and they definitely grip better, and dry handling is not bad. I would recommend the LM22's or LM25's for Ohio winter driving. Remember, it's not just ice/snow but temperature. You will take 25% more distance to stop with summer tires if the temperature gets below freezing. Nobody should be driving in the winter in Ohio with high performance summer tires.

Hey Bucks fans, how about that showing in the Draft this past weekend, 5 first rounders and 9 overall... And they are still a pre-season top 5 for the '06 season! Awaiting the delivery of my 5er... Until then, BEAT MICHIGAN!
