I'm like you and want something that's not overly bright...I like the look of the stock BMW led lights and it seems like that's what these bulbs provide.
They've held up well! Over three and a half years and no problems. Very pleased. They were the right choice.

I'm about to order some up...I trust your judgement in that they look like the stock BMW led bulbs!

Once I get these bulbs in, I'll let you all know how they look.

Got them in, slapped them on and was disappointed with the blue color.

Ace, did your bulbs have 2 or 3 diodes? Mine have 3 and not 2 like what is pictured on Amazon.

Mine have two on each light, just like the picture on Amazon. The color temperature of mine appears about the same as the courtesy lights that shine down on the ground from the outside mirrors on the car.

It's normal. That's the cold check the car does when turned on.

Unbeknownst to many, the car actually cold checks every 5 to 10 minutes or so. While idling my car to bleed the air out of the cooling system, I noticed the side markers cold checking again.

Here is the link back to a thread I started a while back when I installed LEDs. My first mod.

https://5series.net/forums/e60-parts...talled-126306/

My plate lights do not strobe and appear white, not blue-ish white. Check the pic out for yourself. Not sure if you can get your hands on Mtec lights anymore and I haven't seen John @ motorcepts in a while. Think he moved on from a an e60. Good luck.

I really like the whole LED package, inside too. No strobes at all except the AE rings strobe when turning off.

I let the seller know that what they were showing on Amazon and what I got on Amazon were not the same product. He ended up refunding me in full and allowed me to keep the bulbs so they're definitely a stand up seller.

Over a few days, the color of the bulbs grew on me and they now appear to be much more similar in color temperature to the mirror lights so I ended up keeping them in.
