Active steering is LIGHT at all times.

Op - it depends what you want, heavy or light. Just because a car has AS doesn't mean you have to use it. You can code out the vehicle order to take that off. I've done it for a friend. Mine is perfect but when it goes, unless it's a sensor, i do not plan to fork over that much $ to fix it. I will code it out and like the ride more than i do now. i drive fast.

I like Active Steering, shorter turns and light at low speeds. When you get on the highway it gets tighter the faster you go and gives you more control of the car at higher speeds. Parking with Active Steering is easy also, you dont even have to turn the wheel as much to park.

I test drove a 550 Sport with AS and I agree. I liked the very light steering for low speed parking since I came from an Accord and TL-S where Honda traditionally always has light but very communicative steering. But I forgot to put that on my want list when I picked up mine. Oh well, I get a good workout in the parking lot and feel like superman on the highway!
