My Ride: MY05 545i Jet Black with Auburn interior. SMG, Logic7, Sport Package, Comfort Seats, Navigation.
I also get compliments from strangers sometimes.
There was a time in a gas station right after I just finished waxing, a lady in her 30's walked from 2 isles over to my car to compliment me on how beutiful my car looks. She proceeded to ask me how much it costs. I told her a ball park figure of $65,000 and she was astonished to find out how little it cost! She was expecting to hear $90,000...
Either she was under-informed on current car prices, or our E60 just look more expensive than they actually cost. I like to think the latter.

Well ,I just bought a roadster 350z (please no flaming) 
... and my wife now drives the 530i, she loves it but the only thing she does not like is all the stares she gets. I tell her its not the car their looking at...its her.... or her D's
