My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.

As I see the new Lexus hitting the street and others, I would like to re-phrase this as BMW is just cutting edge on it's designs now instead of just it's refined engineering and ride.
It's like my cloths and music, the older I get, the slower I am to change.

My daughter knew at age 3 to distinguish BMW Williams from Ferrari (BMW good - Ferrari bad...).

I had an E39 for 4 years and NEVER got any comments on the styling.
With the E60, I have had people strike up conversations with me at least once a week about how cool, great, etc. the car looks.

Well it happened to me. A very attractive young lady approached me at the gas pump and said that was the most beautiful BMW ('97 Alpine White 540-6 spd) she had ever seen. She gave me her card and asked me to call her when I was ready to let it go.

I've had the car for a year now, in the past two months I've had several people approached me to tell me how cool the car is, on stops signs people give me a thumbs up, college kids say "sweet ride". I guess it took people some time to get to like the new design.

there was a lady in her mid 30's approaching my car when i was waiting for my gf couple days ago. she was about a few feet away from the passenger's door but turned around and walked to a gs300 with a "oh-$hit-i-hope-that-guy-in-the-bimmer-didn't-see-me" smile. wtf
