Default E60 545iA tapping noise.

I changed valve cover gaskets from my 545i because those were leaking oil. Right after that the engine started to make some tapping noise. Mechanic who changed those gaskets and Bmw dealer said that it comes from valves and it's usual to bmw engines. They allso said that Forte motorflush might help. It didn't help. Tapping noise comes when accelerating and when I take my foot off the gaspedal it goes away. That noise will not even notice when you run straight gas at low rpm. Any ideas what makes it?

Have you looked into the VANOS issue?

No noises before. It started right after the cover gasket repair.
