every time i saw an e60 in my rear view mirror, it still takes my breath away! somehow the angle of the car in the mirror head on is the best!

I liked the E60 from the first moment I saw it.

I guess that means I just have better taste than all you people who changed your mind....

darkside - how many more break-in miles to go? I know what you mean ... those rpms whip up real fast. So what if you go over 4,500 a few times ... I don't think it hurts (in fact, it may make for a more responsive engine later). Hang in there, you will be scaring your pants off soon enough.
I only have a little over 400 miles. My commute to my office is 1 1/2 miles. I took a nice drive today on come curvy roads on Whidbey Island and that was fun. This car handles! Not M3-like but very much a BMW. Great car! My only complaint is a rear deck rattle that was not fixed when I took the car in for this purpose.

Whoa there, not many people know Whidbey Island. I graduated from Langley High School (now I believe it is called South Whidbey High) way back. Lived in Mukilteo and took ferry back and forth each day. Used to drive the roads back then in a 57 Corvette, and 49 Plymouth with a DeSoto V8 dropped in. Ah, the deer that I hit (or hit me). Now it?s wall to wall B&Bs. After doing some real nice twisty roads in my 6er up at Spartanburg during the BMW Driving Experience I would dearly love to recreate those same drives in the BMW on Whidbey.

I sitll love the E39 look....but M5 only. Though I drive an E60 and love it....side by side I would still take the E39 M5 for its aggressive spoiler and looks and stance...

All E39's other than the E39 M5 looked dated to me even a couple of years before the E60 came out, but now even the E39 M5 looks dated and not as aggressive as is should have been.

The E60 did not have to grow on me becuase I was in love with the looks from the first second I saw the very first "official" pictures. That is why I was so amazed that people kept complaining about how ugly they though it was.

I love the rear end of 7 series, so the first time I saw e60, I love it on the first sight.
