Lately I've been hearing a chirp coming from my passenger side footwell, I kno for sure it's a fan. The sound changes with speed and gets louder when I slow down. I've done a couple of Google searches and it seems to be my EBox fan (pretty sure its not my blower motor). Before I go out to buy one just want to kno is there any other fan under my passenger side to the right?... I've also seen some PDF files on how to install the fan just curious when I disconnect the modules inside the EBox and reconnect will everything work fine again. I don't want to have to get anything reprogrammed. All help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you....

How do you know for sure its a fan? It may be the ebox fan but that wouldnt explain why it changes with speed... isnt the blower fan/motor on the passenger side for the air system??

Yea I had the same issue Jaycal3 had i read his post and decided to take a look didnt take a picture of the water sorry. Fortunately I caught mine before it actually flooded. Drain was blocked by dirt and debris, water high enough to get into the fan the noise I was hearing was the fan blades hitting the water. Which explained why the sound would change with speed because the water was shifting from around the fan blades. Thankfully I had this "warning" before everything went down hill. Didn't need to change out the fan just dried it out everything was back to normal after I cleared the drains I check it now and then just to make sure.

cool. lot of electronics in there. if it fried the ISM that would really suck. lol. I will have to check mine. Before I stash it away. I'm retiring the car this week and taking out the little beast (roadster) for some winter driving. Doesn't snow here, so the cold weather is great to let the car breathe
