Default High Battery Drain

Hello everyone, looks like i have a high battery drain on my 04 545i. And yes i searched the forms but the solution does not apply to me because i do not have comfort access to my vehicle, and the door handle seems to be the issues for the high battery drain for vehicle with comfort access. I noticed that someone had a similar post, but he never explained what happened.

Basically i noticed my parking "P" light stays on after i lock the vehicle, even after an hour. When i park the car in the garage i hear like a electrical current type hummmm. it goes on for a few minutes than stops, im trying to pin point the issue, i know there has to be a current drawing from the battery, basically causing it to high drain. I disconnect the IBS and im still getting the issues. Does anyone have an idea what it may be? i dont have comfort access, and ive already disconnected the ibs but still getting the high drain battery. If there are any mechanics that can repair the issue in the so cal area and that can repair this please pm, and we can set something up, along with some things that i need repaired on the vehicle.

Thank You

Hello, I had the exact same issue it got to a point where other error codes with flash... I decided to bring the car into the dealership and have them look into it. I just got the car back with diagnostic code D6121 00000000 01 002. Replace battery due to age... it's 2010. I didn't think the battery would go in just 2 years.

From what I've read in other threads, that kind of diagnostic doesn't come easy.. maybe a few days at the dealership.. unless we can right away determine that an add on part of some kind (sub woofer for example) is causing excess drain when the car is off.. or someone can pitch in with how to do that kind of troubleshooting

I run into this issue every time the first "big chill" of the winter hits. The first time, I was on warranty. brought it in for diag (2 days) and they came back with "unfavorable driving profile", which I made clear was BS, dealer said replace battery (2 yrs), i went home and ran my trickle charger and everything was ok until next winter. Tons of threads about this (i've participated in more than a few), not always re: comfort access.
