I did just take delivery of my new 535D with DD. One week before I drove a 530D loaner without DD.

The difference is huge even in very slow speed you will feel a much precise handling of the car ie turning at 20 mph in a roundabout. At high speed this is super.

I don't think at all that you are loosing sensitivity.

In terms of comfort, the filtration is higher and the vertical damping is realy good.

My only complains with 245/45/17 tyres (122 stylewheels) is that the rear suspension is a little too hrash but I need to modulate the pressure.

The real question for me is how does it compare to the m-sport suspension in the sport models (UK only I think)? We can't get Dynamic Drive and M-Sport suspension together here for some reason.

I love the ARS (or Dynamic Drive), at least when the roads are dry.? Is it just me or does anyone else feel that on wet roads the car feels a little numb.? I feel like I'm about to lose control.? Or could it be I'm just going too fast for my own good?! ? I wish I could test this in a wet parking lot to see how good this ARS thing is.

I love it as well but I think you're right: because it works so well to level out hard cornering it is possible to drive "beyond your skill level" without knowing it - particularly in the wet. But boy, on dry roads you can push the car very hard because of it...and that is soooo much fun.

Test drove a 535D with the sport supension M? including the M bodykitand 40 serie tyres. I think that the DD suspension is softer and offers a superior handling. But to be honnest you can only compare after several hundred miles of different use and not a 30 miles test.

Its not you. You are right. I am guessing that in my case, my RF Dunlops at 9K miles just don't cut the mustard in wet weather.
