It isn't that hard to get the cables from the screen and down to the floor inside the chair..

My qeustion is if it is possible to install a screen in the headrest in a comfort seat, maybe there is some kind of head protection ???

I hope the image that I am trying to post makes it,(first time within this forum) if not check out the hyperlink provided along within the post. BMW NA once offered a DVD rear entertainment package, it looked really bulky compared to the picture of the previos post. The rear dvd pkg, protruded from the rear seat, and no matter the color of your leather seats it was the console that is, was always black.)
But the one posted earlier, IMO looks better than the one in the pic that I am posting. Just looks better to me.

Which brings me to another question. What are the americans using for rear entertainment pkgs if any?
I have kids, and would prefer in headrest over drop down from ceiling version, and portable dvd player.
11 year old and 2 year old will be on board.

Yo, there is now in sweden a DVD Deluxepaket, what it means is:

* 2 st Sony display 6,5? build into front headrest
* 2 st wireless headphones
* Sony Playstation 2

This package normaly cost 16.900 kr about 2000 us dollars, now how ever we can get it for only 420 bucks or so, wich sounds cheap to me?

Question is is this something that is worldwide known? Or is this something special for sweden. If not do anyone have any experience with this system, seems like a really good offer that should be worth the small penny once it's time to sell the car?

I wouldt consider it for O 16.900 kr, but for 3.900 kr it sounds like an ok priced options

Thanks
Kvark
Strange, if I look at the BMW optional equipment on the Swedish site, the option with two 6,5" screens and an DVD-changer and an rear aux in cost 74.000 SEK. Where did you find the package for 3.900 SEK?

Sounds like a normal BMW Nordic ripoff.

Do you really need the package?

BMW Nordic (including Finland, Sweden, Norway etc.) is now responsible to BMW Ag.

All retailers has to order their cars themselves (franchaising) and will rip you off if you do not have a really nice relationship with your dealer.

Be aware!
Ripoff?? What are you talking about? A PS2 and two Sony screens installed in your neck rests for less than 3200 SEK (420 bucks). I would would do it without a blink!

Thanks wowe! That's in Helsingborg, and I'm located in Copenhagen, so that's near

I just want yo know if it's possible to install it in the headrest in a comfortseat... I might know a dealer here in Copenhagen, that can install the screens in my headrest. I'm installing the cabels my self.

Guys, to make things clear:
the two headrest monitors ARE NOT A BMW PACKAGE.
BMW Entertainemnet packages for E60 are three:

1. A portable DVD unit to be installed in a roof central consolle;
2. A fixed DVD screen to be installed in the roof;
3. a two screens system (called DVD advanced) installed on the back of the seats.

Unfortunately the third option - which could be teh best - is too big and the screens cannot be concealed or folded.
I would go for the first choice (bigger screen and portable solution).
