I'm glad your car will survive after all with some new parts. I'd love to sell you the RPI but it has gone to a new owner.

Why did u change your rpi?

I think I do. BMW, I'm sorry!

Would have been nice if the car "knew" what was wrong and indicated some type of a transmission fault though - it was not easy to figure out the misfire codes were related to a flywheel problem. Also, I wish BMW of Manhattan would have had the prowess to check this when I complained of the gearbox being way too notchy on engagement when cold. Now I know, that's a sign. But all in all, it is a welcome change for me - I was not in the right place to get a new car, so being able to keep this one a bit longer actually will allow me to continue with my life (sans a few grand for the parts and repairs).

I will post a new thread with the write up for the fix, a couple of new mods and of course, the pics - when the car is ready. Thank you, everyone, for all the support and kind words! This forum's still the best!!! Because we have the best members... wait what? LOL okay, maybe that didn't quite come out right... but seriously, you guys are awesome!!!
