I have read the Ecu on my 2006 e60 530d with my re-map flasher.
I have stored the DTC code C0242

I cannot find any info online about what this code relates to etc...
Anyone know a site where these codes can be accessed or if what this particular code means??

0=Generic
Not sure about "242"

Since this is a generic code, not manufacturer specific, a search for "DTC C0242" returns references to traction control or ABS.

You may need someone with the INPA software to decode the DTC details.

 

Can't seem to find anything out there linked to this code and BMW.
Why is my DTC Code reader giving this code and not the more popular P**** type code??

Someone must have a table of these type of codes out there surely??
