Angry Dsc issue?

Hi everyone! I have a problem that is pissing me off! I have searched this here and other sites and it has been inconclusive.
I have '06 530i and it runs great but lately every time I turn the steering wheel left or right this thing pops up (see photo) it will disappear when I turn off the engine but come back when driving again and I turn the wheel.
Any help, ideas, suggestions, will be appreciated.

do your indicators self cancel after making a turn? If not it's the steering wheel angle sensor

Search for a DIY on this. You will be messing with the steering wheel which has an air bag. Follow all the proper precautions.

some say it gets dusty so could be a quick fix just by cleaning it

I've had this problem for so long. Sometimes it appears but it usually disappears.
