I had mine in last month for the same problem.. they gave me the run around and did nothing to fix the slam after 6 days in (did some other minor things like sunroof seal)! So I brought it back a couple days later with some ammo from the forum. "ohhhh, yea thats a common problem.." He told me they were going to update the software (six hours to do), but a week later it was doing it again. Does the software update visibly change any of the I-drive menu for a 2005? Nothing looked different on mine, no daytime running light options or navi options..
I'm stuck doing the 25 sec reset again.. Any insight from someone who got their slam cured??

To you and the original poster: I think you should be more assertive and try to make a case for a new tranny. They tried all that stuff on mine. It worked better for a few days but not completely slam-free. Eventually, the slam came back with a vengeance and as the next step they installed a new (rebuilt) transmission. It has worked great, since.
Good luck

Won't be able to pick it up tonight...with traffic, there's no way I'll make the drive there so I'm picking it up tomorrow then taking her for a cruise down to Newport Beach...we'll see how she drives and if it's still there, I'll bring it right back.
