I had the window problem; BMW replaced a part in the window mechanism; and the problem was solved. I don't think the software upgrade will do it.

My car goes in on the 6th Sept for various small problems,the window issue is one of them. <_<

This happened to me once where the my driver side window thought there was an obstruction and it lowered itself. What I did was power off the system (shut car off, turn car on) to reset the computer. That did the trick for me. It hasn't happened to me again. I hope it doesn't happen again. :'(

Thanks for all the feedback. I did "reinitialize" the window per 555's & northernmonkey's suggestion. I will let you folks know.

Evenflow545 - does your service invoice say what part # was replaced?
530dse - Please let us know how that service goes
555 - I have never had the problem on the passenger side - interesting - software?
