E60 drivers don't have coins, just bills.

So, having said that... there is a holder:

...and the bills stay cool in the summer, and warm in the winter...

My Ride: Arrived 3 June 2005: 2005 545i - Orient Blue, Black interior, Sport, Steptronic, Cold Weather, NAV, Sirius, Logic7, Comfort Seats, Sunshades. What a glorious ride!

My 545i, made in May 2005, has excellent cupholders. It won't hold a Big Gulp, but then I'm not in my teens, so that doesn't matter to me. Holds any size Starbucks or Caribou just fine, and it also does well with any 20-ounce plastic soft drink bottle.

What are all those buttons in your photo located between you seat warmer buttons? You may have just given me a new case of option-envy!

I just read where BMW paid Starbucks and 7-11 to redesign the sizes of their cups to fit the E60 cupholders. Apparently, the German engineers finally gave up on being able to design cupholders that work and realized it would be easier to work the problem from the other direction!! I'm not sure how they will solve the MP3 problem!!
