I have fited my with out changeing them.
all you need is a small pot of vacerlen.
I put it on the top of the door deal and wow no nosic and it has been over 6 months mow and still no nosie. cool
this stuff works.

Is your car under any warranty still? I'm about to go get mine done and my 545i is under warranty, but i dont want to pay a boat load for labor!

If your car is still under warranty. I would get it done right away.
It should not cost you a penny.

Well, this is a new twist... I was looking at the felt strip on the driver's door and got curious. I had my key in my hand and decided to see if the felt was worn off or just matted down. Turns out that it was matted down. I started scruffing the fur back up in the "bald" places. I got it looking pretty good and then took it for a test drive. PROBLEM SOLVED!!! Not a single squeak, groan or any rubbing sounds at all. Now THAT is what I would call a SIMPLE fix. To be honest, I'm surprised that it worked at all, much less as well as it did. That is the fix I'm sticking with since my car is not under warranty. It took me about 3 minutes to scruff the fur back up and now the car is as quiet as any. I don't know if this will help any of you out there, but it is definately worth a try.

The total of what I did was buy and apply the Worth Rubber treatment for all the rubber seals. I cleaned the inside of all the windows along the top edge where it meets the felt strip and I scuffed the "bald" looking spots on all the felt strips. The car is quiet now. That rubbing noise has been bothering me since I bought the car. It is embarrassing when friends are riding with me. A $50K car should NOT make noises like that, I don't care what brand it is. I mean, c'mon people!!! This is a BMW!!
