No. It's a MattO thing. Mine is badged.

PS: did you know that "matto" in Italian means "madman"?
I didn't know that! Probably not appropriate when I'm driving my car, but when I'm on my motorbike.....

I've been contemplating debadging my car for some time now, but always felt that it may take away from it?!

A debadged e60 could comes across like you're trying to hide the fact it's a 525/530 ?

I don't think anyone would debadge a M5/550/545 ! So my initial reaction to a debadged e60 would be to think it's probably a 525 or a 530....!

What do you guys think ?

My thoughts are mixed.

Don't care what badge is on the car but its handy to know whats going on in the next lane. There is no value in pissing off an AMG and M3ers tend to have testosterone issues (too much or too little) to deal with. If I had a M car, debadging would help in avoiding the boy racers out there. I don't see many pluses on drag racing, though I'm not ready to get embarrassed by some idiot in a Chrysler 300M or some Jap ship.

Like the stealth concept and the stock look of my E60. One of the reasons I dislike the Msport aero. So I guess I could be outed as debadger. "Not that theres anything wrong with it."

I sympathise with this view. Do nothing. If someone wants fun, they can have some.

545i owner here. Debadged. If I happen to get a M5 anytime soon, that will be debadged as well. And to have some fun will rebadge with 528i.
I like that that what I will do on my next car.
get a 535iTT and put a 520i on it

I had a debadged 325Ci Sport and my wife had a debadged 325Ti Compact SE at the same time - we thought they would look less attractive to potential car thieves when left in public car parks. Main problem I had was being hassled by other drivers who thought I must be driving a 318Ci.

Since then I've left the badges on - but got hassled when I had the 300Ci MSport convertible because other drivers thought I must be a wuss and now I get hassled because they see my 530d MSport Touring and think 'it's only a diesel'!!

Maybe I get hassled 'cos I drive a BMW...
