Default Does anyone know where to find the lateral acceleration sensor?

I am getting an error for the lateral acceleration sensor. I can't seem to find it on the car, it is a part of the DSC system. I called the dealer and they said it is under my driver seat carpet. I know there is nothing under my driver seat carpet but there is a small black and white module under the passenger seat carpet. I would have to remove the seat and door trim to check so hoping for some insight.

The dealer gave me a part number but after checking on Real Oem (# 8) that part number is for cars without active steering. I have active steering but there is no other part number.

RealOEM.com * BMW E60 550i Hydro unit DSC/control unit/fastening

the car is 07 550 prod date 06/06

Any help would be appreciated.

I guess I will answer my own question for the benefit of the community. Hopefully if anyone has the same question in the future this post will help.

The lateral acceleration sensor, otherwise called DSC speed sensor, is located under the passenger front seat carpet. If you have active steering these are the two part numbers I found 34526770137 superseded by 34526782371. If you don't have active steering then you need 34526782370. Not a cheap part, it runs $500-600.

For active Steering:

No active steering:
