Default Bilstein PSS Coil-Over System on E60

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had insight/experience with these coil overs.

Essex Distributors - Bilstein Shock Absorbers

I'm running some pretty aggressive wheels with fat tires, so I want to keep near stock ride height (in the front) to avoid any rubbing. Does anyone know if the highest setting on these coilovers will match (or almost match) stock ride height? I'm reading that some coil overs can adjust to stock height, while some cannot.

I need a 1" drop in the rear; no foreseeable problems there.

PS: I emailed Bilstein, and they responded with this

"thank you for the interest in the Bilstein PSS coil over system. I have attached a copy of the installation instructions, the lowering is listed as 215 to 240mm on the front and 235 to 260mm on the rear. "

Not entirely sure what that means...

Thanks in advance.

Bump... seriously considering this mod in the springtime. Any other coil-over alternatives around this price range? I'm also starting looking at ST coil overs (by KW) but the lack of corrosion protection (stainless steel) is a turn off.

I am running this system on my 2005 545i. My car had the sport suspension so at max height on the adjustment it only lowered the car about 1/2 inch all the way around. I love the system, the ride and handling is just perfect. I may be able to save you some money on the kit to, if you decide to go with it.
