sorry guys but i have to disagree with all of you, seriously, the bmw Nav is one of the best i've ever came across, taking into account that i have tried TOMTOM and Garmin, and the accuracy and ease of use of the Bima's is just superb !

(probably my heads-up display makes it even more beloved )

anyway, i might be biased, but I DON'T CARE, i aboslutely love every bit of my German Girlfriend

+1 BMWs Navigation is pitiful. My Acura's navigation is light years ahead of BMW, which is pretty shameful if you ask me.

Agreed it's not very user friendly, but I've been able to duplicate all the features of my prior mobile Garmin.

Definitely not user friendly and my Garmin (now wife's) is so much easier to work with. That said, I find the live traffic interaction awesome. It has saved me many a traffic jam on rt. 76 on the way to work. Those of you who live in the Philly area know what I'm talking about.

Try using the COMAND on the W203 C Class... now that's a shizzle navigation system!

I don't think ANY nav beats a Lexus navi... I wonder if any software programmers can retrofit a Lexus navi DVD for BMW???

But I cant say I'd care since I don't have nav!

I think the Nav works great from a direction standpoint, once you've identinfied where you want to go. I do however agree, the interface totally sucks. Is the new HD based Nav any better????

My only real grips are:

You cant just do a universal search for all categories!

There's now way to switch the Nav to the larger part of the screen, then have the radio control in the smaller window

Any theres no real support from BMW from a Firmware upgrade, nor its seems there ever will be now.

Okay, in conclusion...........YEAH our NAV's BLOW!!!

I agree, comparing the NAV in my car and my wife's Subaru - the Subie wins every time. The graphics are on par, that is about all I can say that is. The only advantage of my NAV over my wife's? I can use mine while the car is moving (which is nice when she is inputting an address while we are already on our way) but in the Subie you need to be at a complete stop to use it.
