Allready had it up to 271 Km/h (and I almost shit my pants) .

It was on a straight four lane highway. 280 Km/h should be possible, it felt like it's possible to speed up more...

When going more than 250 Km/h it felt a little lighter on the front, but still solid.
Up to 230 km/h it is rock solid!

Iceman,

Is the speed limiter an electronic limiter or a mechanical limiter? Did you do it or have a mechanic do it? <_<

In the future, I'd suspect the trend to change towards switching the chrome for plain black.

How about get the grill surround in body color like some e46s have done.

I would never do anything myself, since these machines are way to complex. Since I'm no mechanic I let an expert do it. So I can't tell you how it works, but my guess is that it is an electronical limiter and not mechanical.
When you go for chip tuning the speedlimiter is removed also, so I think the speedlimiter is electronical and the dataset is somewhere in the chip, the DME...
I don't know. Sorry...

Why not get the 545 rather than trying to make 530/525 look like it?
I would if I live in auto-tax friendly countries like the US or Germany. In Singapore, a 520i costs S$190,000 (US$112000), while a 545i will make the owner S$310,000 poorer. The annual road tax for a 520i is S$1,800 here while the 545i owner have to pay S$6,000 to keep his/her car on the road for another year.

Stupid US question. Just how fast is 280km/h? I'm guessing it's around 170 mph. Am I close?

Or, for future reference, type "280kph in mph" into Google.
