The grill has chrome for the 545. I'm goign to replace the black grill on my 530 with that grill. I think it looks better on my sapphire black.
The difference is that the front edge of the grill is chrome, not the whole thing.

Yep - just another confirmation.
All 545's have the chrome grill, it's standard.
Because it does look better (more aggressive) a lot of ppl replace the regular black grill with the one from the 545.

Why not get the 545 rather than trying to make 530/525 look like it?
Also, a lot of ppl doesn't want it, because they want the comfort of the 5series but have other preferences (like Diesel engines, because of the fuel consumption and gas prices - speaking for Europe off course).
The chrome grill simply looks better, so I would add it too. Why not ?

In Portugal you can get a 530d for around 75.000 EUR/80.000 EUR and you can get a 545i for about 100.000 EUR.
The 530d will consume around 9 liters/100km (0,78 EUR) and the 545i will consume around 14 liters/100Km (1,10 EUR).
I drove 6.000 Kms last month and usually between 60.000 Kms/ 70.000 Kms in a year.
So.... i took the 530d and yes i have the chrome grill.
Best choice around here don't you think?

Yep. That's what I mean.
For me it doesn't make sense to buy a Diesel - I only drive about 12000 Km per year.
But right there you are the perfect example why someone wants to buy the chrome grill without buying a 545, Tuga.

You have debadged your 545i ?
If you ever think in taking the speed limiter off (in Germany) ..... you will be a real Porsche 911 killer!
