I loved my E39. I had an E39 530i Sport in Jet Black. I was so in love with that car that when I saw the E60 for the first time, I was pretty much convinced that I would buy out my E39 after the lease ended and not move into the new model. Looking back though, I'm so glad I didn't do that. As great as the E39 was and as classic as those lines were on the car, I loved both of my E60's much, much more. When I see an E39 on the road now, I think how outdated the car looks. The only E39 I still enjoy seeing on the road though, is the E39 M5. That to me, is still one of the best looking sedans ever made.

I eventually replaced the suspension with H&R Sport and Bilstein struts, and the wheels with 19" staggered set of M-Parallels.
Of course you did, you mod whore!!!!

C, I agree that the E39 M5 still looks good, but if it was parked next to an E60 M5, it would be no contest. The E60 looks way better. But, that's just my opinion.

This was my father in-laws car that I wanted so bad. He's the reason I'm hooked now.

I've always preferred the E60 to the E39. But, my first love as far as BMW's go was an E9 3.0CSi! GREAT looking car!!

Love your car Mitch...Just need tinted windows and an M-Appearance package and you are set. Keep your 124s. They're hot! I'm keepin' mine.

Hey Man, thanks. You might not remember, but we met at the Bear Mountain run in Sept. I was there with my wife.

My plans are to get the M-Appearance package. I am keeping the 124s for now. I can't afford new rims. But I would like something else later. But I will still have my 124s.

I love your car too.

I'm an e39 fan. I prefer the interior, exterior, and handling compared to the e60. The one thing the e60 has going for it is i drive. Don't get me wrong i obviously like the e60. It was the 1st car Chris Bangle Desiged that i actually liked.
