My Ride: 2011, X6 Hybrid . Alpine White , every option. 20" Conti' NON runflats,OEM trunk spoiler , LUX V3 AE's , HP Thunder Fogs , custom front bumper reflector delete........
The e39 also came in an MSPORT version with the M tech kit. I had a 540 M Sport and they still look great to me , albeit a little dated now.

My Ride: 530I Silver gray with gray leather with Premium Package, Logic 7 Premium sound system with Ipod interface, xenon adaptive headlights, Active steering, Power retractable rear sunshade, Comfort seats, Cold weather package and M5 OEM 166 wheels, Sprintbooster. Ceramic Tint all around, Bilstein Sports shocks with Eibach springs, Brake performance Rotors and Axxis ceramic pads.
I have both and I like the E39 interior and the E60 exterior styling. I like the E39 handling better than E60. E60 has a softer ride and I feel diconnected from the road. Specially with cornering.

I have both, and I prefer the E39 as a drivers car. The E60 is too disconnected and artificial, but obviously more luxurious.
Dont get me wrong i love both cars it just feels like the E60 became more computerized and the E39 you could feel the car better with the manual Tranny

The E34 was the first 5series that caught my eye. I never had one, but its looks captivated me into BMW.
Between the 2, I'll take my E60 any day
. The F10 doesn't do anything for me either.

when i was a kid my dad bought an 89' 325i and i fell in love with that thing - ever since then i've always wanted to have my own. 2 yrs ago i was able to get into an 03' 540i e39 6sp w/nav...fell in love with the car (amazing torque).
Unfortunately the e39 was totalled and insurance paid more than what i expected. I wanted another BMW but didn't know which one, and i started doing research on the E60 and found out a that it has a lot newer technology and it started growing on me after i few test drives; found one fully loaded that i liked and got it. Every time i look at my car i always find something new or look at it from a different angles to like it even better.
