thxn everyone for their input. and i have done everything subterfuse has said already. it works great for gears 2-6 just from 1-2 the car will rock back and forth 3 time be exact. should i bring the car into the dealer to get a check up?

and the other problem i stated. where for example id be in a parking lot and you know how we go and stop.go and stop. after i stop and try to gas again the car doesnt move, forcing me to hit my emergency lights turn off engine, turn engine back on again then the car accelerates. other than that the car runs great but dangerous if your carrying ppl you care about =/
1) although 1st to 2nd is the least smooth gear change, but the car should not rock back and forth.

2) is your car staling? smg shouldn't do that. take it to the dealer

One thing to keep in mind that when you're driving any manual, whether it be smg or traditional, is that you have to be really smooth on the gas pedal, especially in the lower gears. On an automatic, you can start off and lift your foot completely if you want and there isn't any jerkiness. On a manual, if you start off in first and need to slow, you need to lift off the gas slowly to stay smooth.

If you're keeping your foot smooth on the gas and the car is still jerking as you described, I'd take it to the dealer. Just be careful that the dealer is somewhat familiar with SMG because you might end up with a clueless person (imagine that!) who'll tell you "they all do that"...

That's funny JDN! I think that's a perfect example of what my dad would call "a senior moment"...

If you fly me out to Vegas, I can test drive it for you and tell you if you are crazy or not.

Yes but unfortunately you won't be able to report your findings back to us on the forum because "What happens in Vegas...stays in Vegas!"
