I am experiencing some difficulties with my comfort access system and after researching the problem I believe it may have something to do with the diversity antenna amplifier. I've replaced the battery in one of my fobs and swapped a bad fob out with a brand new one but no matter which one I use, the comfort access is still frustratingly inconsistent.

The dealer suggested the problem may be the window tint, but sometimes when I get in the car and I have the key in my pocket the car will indicate that it does not detect a key present to start the engine.

Has anyone successfully replaced their diversity antenna amplifier and found that it solved your comfort access issues?

I will be interested to see how this pans our for you. I have a 2008 550i and my comfort access has been "incosistent" as well. It seems to work well enough and I can just walk up to the car and touch the door handle and it will unlock. However, at times after parking in my garage as I walk away it will beep, lock and the sunroof will close. I've replaced the battery as well and my car only came with one remote (bummer) and my windows are tinted. with that said I don't know if i truly have a problem yet or not as it works great probably 95% of the time. Almost makes me think with the keys in my pocket maybe another key is pushing the lock button. I have also read up on the diversity antenna and wonder if this would fix this problem or not.
