I noticed at the gas stations in my local area, there is a sticker on the pumps (not big enough to be very conspicuous) saying that the gas is mixed with 10% ethanol. I only looked because my wifes 325i was stalling occaisionally and the service advisor told her that it is due to the new mixture of gas and ethanol. I was wondering, when did this happen?
A long time ago. Depending on your state you either have MTBE or Ethanol mixed in to your gas. If you are in a state with MTBE it will be phased out for 10% ethanol due to EPA changes in 2000 over health concerns. You wifes 325 should have no problems with the 10% blend.

ARGH figures why the gas station I use offer gas for so cheap! Son of a female dog! I thought about it many times... how the heck would we know... and I dont think we will ever know... but I still pay and get ripped off to pretend and tell myself I'm hopefully getting 91.
