Disabling Daytime Running Lights?

Does anyone know if you can manually disable the daytime running lights?

You don't indicate, but assuming you are in the US/North America, no. It wasn't until the '07's (I think) that activating/deactivating the DRL could be done in the iDrive. Will require a trip to the dealer...

yes I am in the US...

Man these trips to the dealer are getting tiring . I will just make a list and try to knock out everything at once.

My Ride: 2005 530i Individual, DVD Package, HUD, Bluetooth, Comfort Seats, SR, etc

in my idrive menu it says day time running lights , when i choose the option nothing happens until i have the light in auto , then the whole head light turns on along with the tail lights and dash lights ...thats not how it is in NA vehicles...........

Right, many parts of the world had the ability to turn on/off DRL from the start, but not here in the US...
