Default +DIRU How to turn it off?

I took my car to the dealer complaning about some hiccups during drive and idle, they updated the FA to include +DIRU. I do not think it had much effect. AFAIK this thing just ensures that while standstill with the gear in Drive it does not disengage the transmission, to optimize, drive from standstill. It seems to have done that, and my consumption has gone higher. And I feel that stopping at red light now, the car is less relaxed and more eager to start rolling. I would like to turn it off, any ideas what should I code/update FA?

Also any details on as to what this does?

you're saying the drive disengaged before while stopped? i've never heard of a car setup to do that. and why? thats why automatic cars have torque convertors...to allow the car to be in gear when not giving throttle.

Following is an excerpt from SIB 24 03 08
The NIC (Neutral Idle Control) feature disengages the torque converter from the transmission when the vehicle is stationary in the Drive position; the service brakes are applied; and the engine is still in the warmup phase. The NIC function eliminates engine load when vehicle is stopped, reducing fuel consumption.
