Warranty covers break downs and repairs. Maintenance covers scheduled upkeep like oil changes, brake pads etc. Two different animals. Extended warranty is a must on these cars IMO. The maintenance depends on your driving. If you are a high mileage driver where you will use the scheduled maintenance during the six years of coverage it may be worth it...

My car is a CPO, which i guess covers breakdowns ?
Can you please confirm ...
Everything is covered under the CPO that you would want to be covered for peace of mind. I think the maintenance plan is a waste of money but then again our 528i gets driven less then 6k miles per year.
