Default Deer warning devices

My phone's browser was being fickle about the pulldown menu so I scrolled down the main page and skirted in through the e60 forum clicking on someone's "new" post. Apologies if in the wrong sub and no hurt feelings here if its moved because I have nothing else to lose. Anyway, I swore by "deer warning" devices until 2 days ago. What worked on my 1970 chevelle for years fell short in protecting my 2006 525xi. I had zero time to react. Only thought I had "insurance" and liability is not helping this She might be up and running again one day but it's going to be awhile.

Wow! That really sucks! Just be thankful you weren't seriously hurt (were you?).

It does suck! $1400 was spent on the AC almost 2 months ago. Then the last two Saturdays i was beating on and cursing a stubborn front driveshaft bolt that finally broke loose so I could get to the fill plug on the transmission. It was shifting smoother after changing out the rancid, dark fluid for fresh. At least I didnt replace the pan and filter. I just cleaned out the old one and it bolted back on with no leaks. I'm selectively cheap! I only came out with a scuff on my wrist from the airbag and a little soreness in the low back. Thankfully my young son was completely unscathed. He DID get a little emotional afterward saying "RIP deer" as he was getting a little choked up. I'm still the luckiest guy around.
