Hey Mike, no worries cuz its coming out of the dealers pocket! So Vossens chrome all their wheels?? Chrome, meaning dipped?? I would think High end wheels would be polished, right?? Or Vossens are not high end?? Thank for everyones input!

Chome/Polished doesn't tell me much about the quality.

Chrome = Less maintenance always looks shiny, but heavier
Polished = High maintenance needs to be re-polished to keep shiny, but lighter

Both has its Pros and Cons.

I've seen this before. When I was in college I had a job washing commercial vehicles on the weekend. We used a cleaner that would quickly clean a vehicle without brushing it, soak for about 30 seconds then rinse. Only one problem, if it was too sunny or warm and cleaner dried before it was rinsed off, or if someone failed to be rinsed it well it would leave the exact same pattern. It would actually etch the metal.

Good luck.

Use Mother's chrome polish. It will take it right off. 99% sure. It does wonders. Even when I had water stains on my chrome grills, mother's chrome polish took it right off like new condition.

Juan, i think thats what exactly happened. They did not wippe it off right away and dried in the sun, it was sunny and hot that day.

AKAlius, I will try that today and will let you guys know. Thanks for the feedback guys....

I would not try to correct the stains until after the dealer examines your wheels - they may claim you caused more damage and renege on correcting the problem.

Good point.
Give the dealer the first shot to fix.

I wouldn't be able to wait. I'd buy some wheel cleaner, spray it on when the wheels are cold, use a wheel brush, and use lots of water to rinse. Then, I'd use hot soapy water and a mitt to make sure all the cleaner (old and new) is removed. Then, I'd get out the chrome polish and give it a go. If it's etched, it won't make any difference as it can't be corrected, and the dealer will have to handle it. On the other hand, if it's not etched, driving around on those stains with hot wheels could lead to more damage. 2 cents.

ALWAYS tell the dealer NOT to wash your car.....for crying out loud already! Best of luck getting it rectified!
