So my idrive started playing up yesterday, it will crash then i would get the S.O.S error message in the central display.

When it comes back up (after stopping the car for 30 minutes or so), it works fine until i press the Eject button of the Satnav disk, then it crashes again and sometimes it just crashes all by itself without any intervention on my part.

I am not sure which software version i have, but last time i had a software upgrade was under warranty back in November 2007 when the CTU unit needed to be replaced (or was it CCC unit, i am not sure). Any one knows how to tell which progman version i have? And if a software upgrade can sort this issue?
