Date & Time Reset
When I started my car I noticed that the clcok on the iDrive screen and in the cluster were "-:--". I eventally got a prompt to reset the date and time. What's the deal? Is this a sign of things to come?
All of my other settings e.g., presets and navi address book were present.
Thanks.
Dan

Happened to me - once. No clue - just the date and time were gone (maybe the MPG, not sure). Has not happened since. Part of the excitement of owning a BMW

Same here, I lost radio, seat, and other settings.. on the first day, right after I finished setting everything. I turned the car off and when I turned it back on, whalla.. gone!
But it never happened again. My car did arrive at the dealer on 6-6-06..

Dan,
I have had the same experience a couple of times; just a minor annoyance. I am interested in how you are adjusting to the 550 coming from the M3? I personally am really enjoying the increased comfort level.

Carl - I am enjoying the comfort and the size. I don't feel that I gave up that much performance other than the extreme handling of the M. To be honest, I have been babying the motor as I only have 700 miles.
