I have the apparently common front cupholder problem - 12 oz cans and cups do not sit flat. I thought I read about a fix (spring mod maybe) but cannot find the right thread.
Any help would be appreciated.

Well to a point anyhow- in the 7 total days i've had it in service they've managed to fix the cupholder and the rattling/squeaking doors......none of the other issues which are STILL outstanding, but that's another story....I'm tired of being without my car and will live with the other issues until it is either undriveable or my next oil change!

I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM, HOWEVER WHEN I BOUGHT MY CAR IT WAS WORKING PROPERLY. IT BROKE ABOUT 6 MOS IN AND WHEN I TOOK FOR SERVICE THEY SUPPOSEDLY FIXED IT. NOW A CAN OF SODA WILL NOT SIT FLAT. GO FIGURE. I HAD IN FOR SERVICE AGAIN LAST WEEK AND THEY SAY THE CUPHOLDERS ARE WORKING FINE. I TOLD THEM TO STICK A CAN OF COKE IN IT AND SEE THAT IT IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY OR SITTING FLAT. I WASN'T GOING TO WAIT AGAIN FOR THEM TO FIX IT.

If your are listening, can you describe your fix. How did you modify the spring force?

Whoever posted the pics of the 12oz cans in the cupholders - why don't you pop the cans open and drink about half and then try to place them flat in the cupholders...THAT's where the problems begin...
