Hey guys, I have a problem here. My friend accidentally knocked the front cupholder of my E60 (the right cupholder) and the front cover (where you press the button for the cupholder to come out) came out. I tried to fix it back but as a result, the cupholder was stucked inside and when i pressed the button it was not working anymore. I was so mad about it. Anyone of you face this problem before ? Will the BMW fix it for me? i am from California thou. Need help! thanks.

Take it to the dealer and tell them it just got stuck... Im sure they'll fix it free of charge.

There is a screw under the black 'sticker' on the front of the cupholder. If you remove this screw, you can remove the entire cupholder from the dash and try to fix it. If you mess up, just put it back in and take it to the dealer to fix.

One of mine stuck and was replaced/repaired by the dealer. No problems since. They're very handy.

agree. soc_fans, don't even try to fix it yourself. if they find out, they'll charge you for labor and parts . just pretend you don't know anything .

To make you feel better:

My got busted by itself after I used it for the 5th time. It got stucked and it does not want to come out.

Oh well, at least I got lucky that it got stocked closed then getting stocked opened!

just bring it to the dealer n get them to fix it. we shouldn't have to fix a problem on a car under warranty ourselves....

well, we have to pay for it if we are the ones who break it which i think is fair. but if we just take it back and pretend we don't know anything. they'll do it for us under warranty .
