creaks and rattle sounds. What should we have to tolerate?

All cars will have creaks and rattles.
The question of whether or not this should happen is another thing, and IMNSHO, the answer is absolutely no way.
My 2 door Chevy has ZERO creeks, ZERO rattles, and I can count the times it has seen the inside of a service bay on one hand. Still, I choose to pay good $$ to drive the E60 for my own personal reasons, knowing full well I might have to put up with the same electrical problems and creeks as my previous BMWs.

Really. Try finding a creek or rattle inside a Lexus LS or for that matter a Toyota Camry.

My point was that no matter how much you spend, chances are pretty good that you're going to eventually have creaks in rattles in any car.
Regarding the Lexus: I had a 2006 GS300 and that thing rattled more than my 1996 Ford Bronco. Design flaws - happened to a whole bunch of GS owners. Lemoned mine and got the 535i.

So you disagree with me, then you agree with me?
