Past few days my interior sounds like a crackling fire over bumps on cooler mornings. Pretty sure it's the door seals. Any recommendations for door seal lube..... besides KY?

Believe it or not, Vaseline does wonders on the door seals to get rid of creaks and cracks.
I've gone about 6 months or so without any creaks since I last applied.

OK...number one do you have warranty if you do BMW has an ECO that applies and invisible tape on the interior of your doors, they did it to mine and it is fine. Number two...if you don't have warranty use Petroleum Jelly and rub it on the both seals (body and door) and it will solve this issue!

Good Luck!!!

Before you go the (proven) route of silicone, carboflo, gummipflege, BMW teflon tape or even new seals there is an easy fix you should try:

If you clean all the felt parts of your seals somewhat throughly, for example with a high powered carwash vacuum cleaner and if necessary a new toothbrush to get in the upper slits for the glass windows the noise just might be gone.

Will cost you 10 minutes max and chances are you'll be noise free for quite a while. If not, address the rubber seals...

Thanks guys. Got a chance to detail the interior and applied some silicon spray to the seals along with cleaning the rubber and felt parts. If it doesn't solve the problem, vaseline and then trip to dealer.

I have the same problem.. i have the car for 4 months now and i brought it in at dealership.. they told me is was the door seals and lubed it with some kind of product(not sure what)..but the noise came back after two weeks. Is there a way for the noise to be gone permanently? picture of where and how to apply the product would be much appreciated.

Alright - so maybe i am in the minority - but mine only creak during hot days?!

Quiet as can be on cold days!

Just my car?

Anyway - 3m adhesive removal does the trick every time none the less.

Even after car washes?

I have to apply the 3m adhesive removal after every car wash to keep my interior quiet.

Let me know buddy!

Thanks!

I haven't found a permanent cure - but would be interested as well!
