The seat settings are programmed into the keys .. I think i'm just going to give the dealer the spare key so I dont have to face any trouble.

Lomag, if you have everything set in key #1 the way you want, what happens if you put key #2 in the ignition and start the car? Do the seats move by themselves?

If not, you could theoretically recall seat memory setting #1 from key #1, change keys to key #2, press the memory button on the seat and then store it under button #1. From here, you need to go back to key #1 and repeat the steps to "copy" seat setting #2 from key #1 to key #2.

Would that work or am I missing something?

As soon as you put in key #2 and start the car the seat automatically moves to the position saved in key #2 loosing all previous settings. If they didn't move themselves then it'd be simple!

What if you don't start the car? Will pressing memory and a storage slot number cause that new setting to be stored in the key that's currently in the ignition?

I haven't looked at it closely in a while, but isn't there a setting in I-Drive to set IF and WHEN the seats should move -- i.e. when opening the door, when starting the car, last seat position,... -- I forgot if you can set this for them NOT to move. In that case, you could set key #2 to NOT MOVE, then use key #1 to get the right setting, use key #2 again and if they did not move, you can save that setting for key #2. Again, just guessing here, that's what I would try.

Nothing works electronically unless the car is started. Well, not started, but I think it's position 2 which lights up all the electronics but doesn't start the engine.

Maybe this has been covered already, but once you find your comfortable position, just program mem1 and mem2 for the same seat settings.

Then use the second key and use mem2 to set the seat.

Shouldn't that program the second key?

Is this too simple?

I mean, how would it work if 2 drivers used the same seat position?
