Hi Joe:

I have been reading along. And, well, ignorance is bliss for many. I wish I could be there if you ever turn up a 335, but alas .... The races should be close. I keep looking for 550i's and 335's in safe circumstances to no avail.

Yep, my Pro RR results are completely consistent what you are saying. And, I emphasize that zero wheel spin, or maybe just a tiny amount of wheel spin, has always been best for me. With more that just minimal wheel spin, I might as well forget about a decent time to any speed or distance.

For anyone unfamiliar with my car, below are my best five passes. They certainly are competitive with those of any known 335 or 550i. However, I have not tested my metered results against actual drag-strip pass results

Adjusted for Weather and Altitude to 500'--Best Five Overall Tests:

..............................#1................#2 .............#3.............#4............#5...... ...Average
1/4 Speed...........104.646......105.098.....106.396.. ...106.518....106.110....105.747
1/4 Time...............13.483........13.497......13.37 0.......13.415......13.423.......13.438
1/8 Speed............82.785........83.057......83.838. ......83.912......83.828.......83.484
1/8 Time................8.766..........8.776........8. 687.........8.719........8.726.........8.735
0 to 100...............12.077........12.115......11.788 .......11.903......11.927.......11.962
0 to 60...................4.988..........5.004........4 .867........4.915........4.929.........4.941

(Altitude?1,600?; DS-mode; DSC/DTC off; Pro RR meter; 1? rollout; 91 octane; Tries for Minimal Wheel Spin using Minimal Brake Torquing)
Zman post my 5 best times if you please.Let these yougsters see what a couple of "old codgers"can do with their outdated 545's.

Why don't you run your car at a 1/4mile strip? Or give your Gtech to a 335 owner so we can compare times. I believe that the 335 will be running low 13's and trapping 108-110mph with a Gtech.

That is what I am trying to do! I wish that at least one 335 will join the 545s/550s at the next Socal Launch Meet. We had a Lexus IS350 join in on one of the meets and it got the best time. Fortunately, the Lexus belonged to EBMCS03 who also happens to own a 545.

Thats waht I was trying to say... post #35 with the G-Timer set up properly... we can compare times between the 545 and 335 and 550 given the same day runs. It can be un accurate... according to "drag strip" times but its a relative comparison between the cars.

I'd be happy to loan my Pro RR to a 335 owner. Too bad I don't know one who would be interested. And, so, you think that wheel spinning makes a car "faster" with a Pro RR. Wheel spinning was death to good times on my car using both a Pro RR and a GT2. Apparently, you doubt us on this point. Why?

I may get around to going to a drag strip one day. Doing so just isn't high on my list. My only "calibration" is that my Z06 is right where it should be when using my Pro RR. So, I am satisfied that it is yielding reasonably accurate data for my 545i. And, my horsepower calculations based on my Pro RR data are right on. Check out posts #121 and #122 on this thread.

Hey vegatrashed, ask zeroday to bring his 335 to maplegraove on 10-27.I intend to run if the weather is good.Maple grove is only about 1 hour from Wilmington. We can get a direct comparison in a safe manner at the strip.I am not registered on his sight,so I can't talk to him.

Very cool. Has he done any drag-strip or meter passes?
